All Laser CorrectionUnderstanding Full-Service All-Laser Vision All-Laser Vision Correction offers increased accuracy, with the potential to produce better vision than is possible with glasses or contact lenses. Since glasses and contact lenses are limited in their ability to personalize the desired correction. In fact, millions of individuals have the same glasses prescription even though their refractive error is unique to each eye. All-Laser Vision Correction develops a treatment plan personalized for each of your unique eyes. What is All-Laser?All-Laser Vision Correction is the type of laser-correction operation we perform. Essentially there are 2 ways to prepare the eye for the laser procedure. One procedure, called LASIK, uses a device to first create a flap on the cornea, the flap is lifted and the laser treatment is delivered. Our All-Laser Vision Correction technology, which is proven to be 25 times more accurate than standard procedures, does NOT create this flap. Instead we gently remove the outermost, very thin layer of the cornea, and then your laser vision correction treatment is delivered in less than 60 seconds. This difference is of great importance in terms of safety and outcomes. The LASIK flap is created mechanically, so the risk of a complication, though rare, does exist. Also, after the LASIK procedure patients have an ongoing risk of this flap slipping or being damaged if the patient has even slight trauma to the eye (ie, a sports injury, walking into a tree branch, being "poked" in the eye). Post-operatively, LASIK patients must cease many athletic activities for weeks or months due to this risk. That is why many police officers and Armed Forces personnel request the All-Laser approach since no flap is ever created. Our All-Laser Vision Correction technology, allows the natural layer of protective tissue to rapidly regenerate itself in a few days leaving the cornea clear, corrected and completely intact. |
